About Ms. Bobzien
Hi! Originally from Kentucky by way of Colorado, I grew up traveling the country and developed a life-long passion for travel and history. I've lived in Florida for the past twenty years and enjoy hiking, fishing, reading, and generally being outdoors. I am also a die-hard Kentucky Wildcat fan and have been known to attend a Steelers game now and then ;-) I have traveled to over 20 different countries, lived in France, and have been to all 50 US states -twice! I am currently working on my bucket list of visiting all 64 US National Parks and can be found traveling and exploring our beautiful country any chance I get.
I am a second-career teacher having spent twenty-two years in emergency medicine as both an educator and patient care provider. After retiring, I decided to pursue my love of history and I am so excited to be teaching social studies at SLA! I have a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, both from Centre College in Danville, KY. I also have an undergraduate degree in Local History from the University of Oxford and a Masters of Science in History from the University of Edinburgh.
